While I often proclaim my love for the peanut butter and banana pairing, I pulled a new Mistress out for Mr. PB tonight.
Ms. Banana, you may have met your match — yes, the silky, decadent and smooth, Miss Chocolate Chip has stepped into the (Arnold Sandwich Thin) ring.
Taking a cue from Miss Tina, I slathered a sandwich thin (to be entirely accurate, it was the Pepperidge Farm knock-off) with my favorite peanut butter (Naturally More, of course!) and delicately topped smothered it with chocolate chips.
I let this baby take a spin in the microwave for 10 seconds — and…
oh. my. word.
The bread-base got all doughy-like in the microwave and it honestly tasted as if I were eating a decadent baked good — or donut! (for the record, I prefer the Pepperidge Farm Arnold Sandwich Thin knock-off – it is doughier tasting 
)
drool-worthy.
Make this now. Or don’t — more for me.
What treat do you make yourself that is super indulgent tasting but incredibly easy and (somewhat) healthy? I could use more ideas!

Sense a theme at The Daily Balance today? GREEN TEA!
My boss and art director (who also gave me my awesome coffee mug featured earlier today), included this little capsule of deliciousness in my holiday/get well gift bag — yes, the people I work with are awesome
You can really taste the green tea at first (which I liked!), but eventually, as the chocolate melts, you are left with rich, sweet dark (61% cocoa!) chocolate.
It really is heaven in your mouth — too bad it eventually melts away…
Did you receive holiday gifts from your boss this year? Did you give out any gifts to your colleagues? I brought in a huge tray of Christmas cookies and oreo bombs!
As I mentioned earlier, the Mister and I celebrated New Years Eve by having two friends over to game and snack!
While we were waiting for them to arrive, the Mister got his own type of ‘gaming’ on.
Meanwhile, I laid out the spread…
Potato chips, tortilla chips, variety of dips, cheese and crackers and pretzels
Sour cream and onion, salsa and queso!
And of course… the games! And not that we’re keeping score, but I won every one!
We played Yahtzee, Catch Phrase, The Nightmare Before Xmas Party Game and Apples to Apples
We had such a great time and shared MANY laughs – the perfect way to bring in the New Year!
