It’s FRIIIIIIIIDAY! Wahoo! So ready for the weekend!
First things first on this wonderful Fashion Friday.
I always receive quite a few emails and comments re: my Bathroom pictures. You want to know — do I take them in the bathroom at work? Does anyone walk in? What kind of VAIN PERSON TAKES PICTURES OF THEMSELEVES IN THE MIRROR? Um yeah, that’d be me
I was just kidding on the last question…no one has asked it. yet.
Anyway, ask and you shall receive! When the Mister doesn’t have time in the morning to take a photo of me outside, I do what any blogger would do. I resort to terrible lighting and put my professionalism at risk.
Joking aside, no one has walked in on me mid-pic (knock on wood), but I doubt they would care, as I’m the least of my company’s concerns. When you work at an ad/PR agency, you see all walks of “crazy.” So now that the mystery of the bathroom photos has been addressed we can move on.
Again, I apologize for the sub-par photos. Blame the Mister. He’s been too busy for me in the mornings ;(
This first outfit features one of my favorite summer blouses. I love the bright color and the faabric is light (and sleeveless!), perfect for the warmer temperatures. Since my office is freezing, I paried it with a cardigan. To make the whole outfit a bit more figure flattering, I added a skinny belt to accentuate my waist, as it tends to get lost in most tops. I liked the overall look.

Let’s just ignore the fact that this lighting makes me look like i have a terrible skin disease.
In the mix:
Pink top: Parallel
Cardigan: SAKS
Shoes: GUCCI
Skirt: Can’t remember! An old classic.
Next featured outfit is what I’m wearing today on super casual Friday. It’s comfy, cute and perfect for the mix of warm weather and A/C.

In the mix:
Butterfly shirt: SAKS outlet
Cream blouse: A.B.S
Jeggins (jeans+leggings): Hue
Shoes: Coach
Sorry again for the terrible photos!
I promise I’ll make it up to you next week
What is everyone up to this weekend? – THE SUMMER MOVIES ARE OUT IN FULL FORCE! Anyone see anything good lately? Plan on seeing one tonight/this weekend?!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Lots of entries this week, so I just decided to share just one outfit – I’ll leave the rest of the fun to the Fashionistas!

Sorry for the terrible photos! My photographer (the Mister) was pressed for time every morning I needed a photo!
In the mix:
Shirt: Anthropologie
Cardigan: SAKS
Skirt: It’s actually this dress from Anthropologie
Shoes: Gucci

Welcome, Ann! How cute is she? I LOVE this layered look. As you all know I am all about mixing textures, colors and patterns and Ann has mastered this technique with this laid back outfit. Not only does it look cute, but incredibly comfortable, too! But of course even a paper bag would look pretty on Ann
- Top tank top: JCrew (cream with applique flowers)
- Bottom tank top: JCrew (dusty pink)
- Shorts: Banana Republic (black and white check)
- Jacket: JCrew (brown and cream)
- Flipflops: American Eagle (white)

Welcome, Jake! As much as I love all you ladies, I am quite thrilled to have another man participate (it’s a rare occurrence!). Men — take note from Jake and PARTICIPATE. It’s so much more fun
I’m pretty much obsessed with this sweatshirt that reads: Free Nature. So comfy! Jake said it’s from Urban Outfitters, and I may just have to buy myself the Mister one

Trista’s outfit makes a fun, casual weekend look. Of course I love the bright blue accent color and the neutral tone of the scarf to balance it all out.
- Jeans: Express
- Shoes: Target
- Jacket: Burlington Coat Factory
- Hat: H&M
- Shirt: JC Penney
- Scarf: TJ Maxx

LOVE THIS, Donna. Classic weekend look. I’m quite impressed by the neutral shoes and denim bag. They both keep the look from looking too dark or heavy. Genius!

How lovely is this? So feminine. So spring-like. So vintage. This reminds me of something from Mad Men (and you know I love me my Joan Halloway
), but with a modern twist on it. I love the muted color palette. Great look, Marissa!
And this week’s randomly selected winner is….

ANN!
Email me your address and I’ll get your prize pack right out!
I hope to see more of you participate next month! I got lots of emails saying you WOULD, but no follow-through! Prizes are at stake, people!
Have a great afternoon and I’ll see ya’ll later for the Daily Delish.
Yes, I just said ya’ll.
p.s. Grey’s last night. SERIOUSLY?
Happy Friday! Any big plans this weekend?
I have a pretty busy one over here! Tonight I’ll be hanging out with my parents while the Mister watches the NFL draft. Who knew that picking a team could be so DRAMATIC? It brings me back to 6th grade gym class, though – almost makes me feel back for the guy who gets picked last. Then I learn how much he’s getting paid and feel bad for myself instead.
Tomorrow I’m singing at a wedding, going to the park with VeggieGirl and then hopefully doing something fun with my Mister. Sunday we have a fun date planned. We’re going to a nice dinner and then to see RIVERDANCE! Should be interesting. Perhaps we’ll learn a thing or two!
For those of you who are interested, I’ll be posting my first week re-cap of P90X tomorrow – so be sure to check back! Based on the feedback I received from you guys, I’ll make one post a week. For those of you who want more detailed info, feel free to email me
Let’s get onto this week’s outfits! On behalf of the Mister, I apologize for these sub-par photos
He promises next week will be better.

In the mix:
- Dress: Kohls
- Scarf: NORDSTROM
- Shoes (even those you can’t see them- BAD MISTER!): Gucci Ballet flats
I love this outfit because it’s simple, comfortable and still stylish. And I dig the contrast between the mustardy yellow and the black and white.

Hello, sunshine!
Talk about shadows!
In the mix:
- Dress: Talbots (borrowed from my mom)
- Scarf: Ed Hardy
- Purse: Betsey Johnson
- Shoes: Gucci
- Silver cuff: Tiffany
This is a great example of how a fun, whimsical scarf can add personality to an otherwise boring outfit.
Note — I apologize for my lack of commenting/participation on many of your blogs. I’m INSANELY busy right now, but I assure you I’m reading
What are you up to this weekend? Any fun plans? I might end up seeing a movie tonight — any recommendations?
