Good morning! I’m home with Bean today, so this is going to be short and sweet – I’ve got smiles to attend to!
Per usual, I’ve pulled some of my favorite fitness articles from the week to share with you all.
First, the importance of fueling yourself with snacks before and after workouts. Studies have proven that skipping a recovery drink or snack actually destroys muscle. Try out my PBB SHREAM recipe for the perfect fix!

Pregnant? Need another reason to keep moving? “It turns out that exercising during pregnancy might be the earliest intervention strategy available to you for improving your child’s heart health after birth,” according to a new study titled, Labor Of Love: New Research Shows Physically Active Moms-To-Be Give Babies A Head Start On Heart Health
As you all know, I logged many hours walking with Bean before he came out of his pod, so these findings definitely put a smile on my face.
With the weather finally warming up, I’ve been seeing so many people taking advantage of it and jogging outside.
But are they jogging the right way? To avoid injury, joggers need good posture and a forefoot landing.
Alright, well I’m off to snuggle with my little man! See you all later — the Bean has some of his own “work-out” progress to show with you all – he’s anxious to show off his muscles with all of you!
The Little turns 3 weeks today!!!
This also means that I am three weeks – post-pregnancy! Despite not sleeping full nights, I’ve found my energy these past few weeks and have been adding fitness back into my life. Last week, the Little and I started mallwalking for about an hour a day. Just this week, we upped that time to 2 hours, whether it’s consecutive or split into two trips. In addition, I also added weight traning back into my regimen, focusing soely on arm exercises.
This has worked incredibly well and I feel so good knowing I’m getting in some fitness each day. I’ll need to hold off on abdominal exercises, as well as hard-core cardio, until I hit the 6 week mark and get the approval from the doc.
