The return to Northstar Cafe

Daily Delish

Remember when the Mister and I kicked off our babymoon with a Northstar Cafe breakfast? No? Well you can re-read it here.

Anyway, we paid another visit to Northstar this past weekend. This time, we decided we’d see what they could do with lunch.

No disappointments here.

Salad contained: mixed greens, dates, goat cheese, roasted chicken, almonds, corn, avocado and tomatoes (reminds me of another salad favorite!). Served with a huge chunk of freshly baked bread that I’m fairly certain Jesus himself might eat every day up in heaven. No butter required — and how often do I say that? Correct answer: never.

The simple fact, really, was that I was too lazy to walk back up to the counter and ask for some. Instead, I scarfed down the bread and then realized that just this once, I didn’t miss the butta. Could it be because I was too busy dipping it in the lemon oil vinaigrette dressing? Or calculating how much I would need to fix myself a bath of it? You betcha.

Summa, Summa, Summatime ;)

Boy have we been busy! So much summer fun!

Last Wednesday, the Mister and I took in a baseball game with our friends Josh and Leann. It was perfect baseball weather! The Mister loved antagonizing everyone by rooting especially loud for the Mets. Unfortunately, Josh, Leann and I could not undo his enthusiasm and the Mets ended up killing the Indians. Oh well, it was still quite fun.

Thursday was Amber’s rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The excitement in the air was contagious! Everyone was really amped up for Friday’s wedding. Amber’s mother-in-law did a fantastic job with the spread!

Taco time!

I love the concept of dessert (who doesn’t?). Each table showcased a different dessert, encourgaing guests to mingle with the other tables to get their sugar fix.

My favorite of the night was the coconut cake – the frosting was — o.m.g

The next day was WEDDING TIME! A trolley served as our transport – so fun!

Amber looked stunning – no surprise there, though!

Take a look at that cake!

Beautiful, Beautiful girls!

Me and my girl, Megan.

Did I mention there was a cookie table?

All in all, it was an incredible event and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. There’s nothing more refreshing than seeing a couple so madly, deeply in love. I am so incredibly happy for Amber and Jon. The Mister and I had a great time cuttin’ a rug, acting silly and laughing with our friends.
