This weekend was not only the Mister’s first Father’s Day, but Beanie’s first MLB game! And the fact that it fell on Father’s Day made the Mister quite happy, indeed
We were lucky enough to score tickets to the social suite through one of my friends at work. The Mister and I kept laughing that Bean is now going to demand first class treatment. It worked out perfectly because we had our own bathrooms, an air conditioned sitting-area, a DESSRT CART – the works! It really was an ideal first-game situation, as we wouldn’t have otherwise ever been able to take him (no thanks, rowdy fans!).

Bean made his presence official with a first-game certificate!

Unfortunately the game was forced into a rain delay and we left around the 7th inning to make it to dinner at The B-Spot (one of Michael Symon’s gems).
Daddy celebrated”his day” with a brew.

he was trying to be fancy. I will refrain from comment

Beanie took in the sights.
Including Daddy’s Bacon milkshake

Yes, you read that correctly — a Bacon Milkshake.
But more on that later
How did you spend Father’s Day?
Boy have we been busy! So much summer fun!
Last Wednesday, the Mister and I took in a baseball game with our friends Josh and Leann. It was perfect baseball weather! The Mister loved antagonizing everyone by rooting especially loud for the Mets. Unfortunately, Josh, Leann and I could not undo his enthusiasm and the Mets ended up killing the Indians. Oh well, it was still quite fun.

Thursday was Amber’s rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The excitement in the air was contagious! Everyone was really amped up for Friday’s wedding. Amber’s mother-in-law did a fantastic job with the spread!

Taco time!

I love the concept of dessert (who doesn’t?). Each table showcased a different dessert, encourgaing guests to mingle with the other tables to get their sugar fix.
My favorite of the night was the coconut cake – the frosting was — o.m.g

The next day was WEDDING TIME! A trolley served as our transport – so fun!

Amber looked stunning – no surprise there, though!

Take a look at that cake!

Beautiful, Beautiful girls!

Me and my girl, Megan.

Did I mention there was a cookie table?

All in all, it was an incredible event and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. There’s nothing more refreshing than seeing a couple so madly, deeply in love. I am so incredibly happy for Amber and Jon. The Mister and I had a great time cuttin’ a rug, acting silly and laughing with our friends.
