Fall Bucket List

Last year:

Where did this baby go?!

Oh that’s right, he’s turned into a little boy right before my very eyes. Well, not really — but it sure feels like it. It’s easy to go day by day by day and then suddenly turn around and think, “BOOM! Where did the time go?”

But really it’s quite simple — the time is right here. The time is NOW. We just need to be sure to STOP and enjoy it. Remember, life is not a race.

Easier said than done, though, right? I know, it’s likely the fall will whiz by and before we know it the halls will be decked. But I don’t want to have a single regret about missing autumn activities. I want Sawyer to experience as much splendor as he possibly can this season. So I created a Fall Bucket List to keep our hearts happy, healthy and to ensure that we fully enjoy everything the season has to offer.

Fall Bucket List

Try a new fall recipe

Spruce up our front porch (DONE! -We have mums, hay stacks, a scarecrow and pumpkins!)

Decorate our home with our fall decor (DONE! We’ve got pumpkins, witches and goblins galore!)

Go apple picking and MAKE something with the apples — pie, cobbler, sauce – SOMETHING

Pull out/Check out from library and read Halloween/Fall themed books (DONE! Be sure to check out our favorites)

Carve pumpkins and roast their seeds – and play in pumpkin goop!

Jump in the leaves

Go on a hayride

Go on a fall picnic

Host a fall harvest dinner party

Make a bird feeder

Pumpkin pancakes – eat them

Plant bulbs for next spring

Go for a nature walk and collect acorns, pinecones and fall-covered leaves

Make an art project with what we find — i.e. leaf rubbing, a collage, etc.

Continue to look for new adventures – anywhere and everywhere.

So excited to see what the season will bring!

What’s on your Fall bucket list?

It’s just insane how fast babies grow! I remember first stumbling across your blog when I was pregnant with my son… now he’ll be nine whole months old and I’m busy making my own fall to do lists.
    Time machine please!
