The Burntwood Tavern

Good morning!
Fairly uneventful weekend, but chock full of playtime, laughter and good eats – just the way we like ‘em!
The Mister and I were able to enjoy a nice dinner out on Saturday. It’s a rare treat to get to focus on the food I’m eating instead of monitoring bean, keeping food of the floor, remaining stain-free and keeping a smile on my face – it isn’t always easy!
Luckily, all I had to worry about on Saturday was myself. And the Mister
We tried out a new (to us) restaurant in Solon – Burntwood Tavern.
In. Love.
Aside from the delicious food, this restaurant was the ideal dinning experience. I explained it to my mom like this: if Anthropologie had a restaurant, this would be it.
Those of you who know me know just how happy I must have been.
I didn’t want to leave!
The restaurant has two other locations – Chagrin Falls and Rocky River — can’t speak to those, but if they’re anything like Solon, I highly recommend.
The lighting wasn’t exactly ideal for photos, so you’ll have to trust me when I say everything looked as delicious as it tasted.
We started with the artichoke, roasted Garlic & tasso fondue, which was served bubbling hot with pita & tortilla chips. If I could take a bath in this fondue without getting third degree burns, I’d consider. Think a wet suit would help? As long as I could open my mouth.
Following the fondue, I cooled things down with Gazpacho, topped with shrimp and fresh avocado.
As if all that deliciousness weren’t enough, I then enjoyed a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad with basil, balsamic and grilled chicken.
All while chatting it up with my best friend and fighting the urge to want to spend lots of money at Anthropologie.

I was not asked by Burntwood to write this review, nor was I compensated in any way. They have no clue I exist.
