Yes, it happened.
I’ve read 2 1/2 books in a week’s time. And you know what? I’m not ashamed to admit it. I cannot. put. them. down.
Is it the best thing I’ve ever read? Absolutely not. Are phrases overused? Um, yea. But then again, how many times were we reminded of Edward’s GOLDEN EYES?
But all the panting, lip biting, dark and gray, super gray, intensely gray, intense AND gray, serious and gray, super gray, [insert 100+ other ways to say "gray eyes" here] aside, I LOVE this series.
And not because of the erotic scenes — seriously — I could take them or leave them — in some cases, actually, I find myself skimming through them to get to the actual plot. These books are a true testament to “behind every great man, is a great woman.” I have completely fallen for Anastasia and Christen and quite frankly fear for those around me if the series doesn’t end with them living a very happily ever after. These two characters are some of my very favorites I’ve “met” (DORK alert.)
I simply adore Anastasia — one of the strongest, most relate-able female characters I’ve seen in my time. If you have apprehension tot his book, put it aside and give it a try. It really is so much more than the hype.

I’m starting the series within the week – once I finish my current book. So glad you like it and it was more than the hype! I can’t wait.
I feel like we are on opposite ends with this book, lol. I couldn’t get through more than half of it. I didn’t like Anastasia and Christian was way too controlling. It also didn’t help that I know it used to be a Twilight fanfiction, so the entire time I kept thinking of the characters as the Twilight ones. It’s just not my type of book, I guess. And I know I’m in the minority — a lot of my friends absolutely love it!

the one thing i couldnt stand about the series was the ‘laters baby’ phrase – so annoying.
I LOVE the books and I’m excited that the film version is coming out! My vote for Christian Grey = either Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer. Just sayin’.
