I talk a lot about how I never deprive myself of delicious and yes, unhealthy, foods. It’s the 90/10 rule. 90 percent of the time, I fill my body with veggies, lean meats, whole grains and fruit. But that other 10%?
That other 10% is comprised of cupcakes, ice cream, pizza and well, CHEESE.

Grilled Veggie from MELT. Grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, carrots and eggplant smothered in muenster on buttery Texas toast. 10% has never tasted so good.
The Mister and I plan to adopt the same policy with Bean. Although for him, it’s more like 95/5. Right now, we are vigilant about making sure he’s getting nutrients and healthy, wholesome meals. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for pizza or ice cream. And as he gets older, we’re certainly not going to withhold snacks, candy and desserts — they just will be a minimal part of the overall equation.
But make no mistake, we live for our 10%
