The Daily Balance

I took this photo over my lunch break — right after I met Bean for some quality play time. I didn’t even have to “make” myself smile, I was so full of joy from my little man. I love playing with him right now. Watching him cackle with glee as he knocks over tower of blocks. Chasing him around the house as he peeks around corners, waiting to be found. Reading pop up books and watching him turn the pages and lift the flaps – so full of anticipation with the surprises he might find. He makes my heart feel so full – bursting with happiness, pride, love – pure joy.

It was this feeling of complete joy and adoration that carried me through the afternoon – until I could come home and spend the evening with my perfect little family.

   Precious moments like that can definitely make anyone smile for days. I haven’t had a moment today, but I had one yesterday. It was from the silliest thing, but it totally made my day lighter.
