Friday Fodder

Happy Friday! Wahooooo – we made it!

Lots of cool stuff spotted on the web this week and sharing is caring, so here I am with my favorite finds – enjoy!

Ever wonder what to do with birthday and anniversary cards from your boyfriend or husband that you cannot bear the thought of tossing? Check out this fun idea. I’m considering doing the same thing for Sawyer with his growing collection of cards from everyone who loves him.

Are you afraid of the dark? Get rid of Monsters with this special Monster spray. Simply cover a Febreze bottle or fill an empty bottle with some water and lavender oil.

And because Easter is right around the corner…

Why not start the old tradition of the magic Easter beans?! Simply plant some jelly beans in the ground and the next morning your kids can discover what “sprouted” – LOLLIPOPS. How fun is this?

Still planning your Easter Egg hunt? Don’t want to have to rely on good weather? Why not take it inside with a glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt? I am LOVING this idea.

Don’t want to have to deal with a sugar high crash? He’s a list of fun things to put in Easter eggs BESIDES candy

And of course, a “why didn’t I think of that” moment — Peep Smores!!!

And an oldie, but a goodie – the best way to use up those leftover eggs you don’t get to boiling.

Isn’t it funny how some of the best moments kids seem to have is with a paper bag, box or toilet paper roll?

Or at bookstores and libraries — you know, places with FREE toys?

Sawyer and his Papa – having fun with the train set at Barnes and Noble.

Current favorite toys include pots and pans, spoons, cups, and oversized caps.

On a walk with Grandma this morning, Bean happily clutched a shiny spoon in his wagon.

Meanwhile, the fanciest of toys sit neglected in a corner.

I guess the best things in life really are free.

What FREE fun have you had lately?

Firefighters, egg hunts and family time

Thankful

I’m feel particularly thankful this week.

Maybe it’s the sunshine, productive work days or the extra family time we’ve been blessed with since the Mister’s getting home a little earlier than usual. Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve managed to make a homemade dinner every night this week (even if one of them involved simply pouring yogurt over cut up fruit!). Whatever the case, it’s times like these that deserve extra love and attention and a nod to the big guy upstairs. They’re so easy to ignore, overlook and continue about our days with a smile on our face. But I believe these moments are worth celebrating — worth reflection, thanks and most of all, respect. Because we all know how lonely and empty it can feel without them.

This week, I’m thankful for:

SPRING

Simple meals

This is the Firefighter and how happy it makes our little man to read it together

LeapFrog Fridge Magnets (more on these and other products we’re loving later)

The upcoming weekend and our Easter Egg Hunt

And most of all, because no matter how many times I say it, it’s never enough…my perfectly imperfect little family of three.

Think about it:
