The Daily Balance

There are few things in life more humbling than caring for a sick child, In the past 12 hours, I’ve:

Been puked on 4 times

Gotten 4 hours of sleep

Rocked my man for hours, losing all sensation in my back

Done 5 loads of laundry

Felt the warmth of poop, no scratch that, DIARRHEA in my arms

and, sung “Oh Christmas Tree” 27 times

You may have noticed  that showering wasn’t included in that list.

But right now, as I sit here with my little man, who’s balled up on me, sleeping in his Grinch Jammies, I don’t think life could get any better.

Until, of course, the next diaper change.

Here’s hoping this bug clears out by tomorrow!
