Work it – On losing the buddha belly

Work It

The Little turns 3 weeks today!!!

This also means that I am three weeks – post-pregnancy! Despite not sleeping full nights, I’ve found my energy these past few weeks and have been adding fitness back into my life. Last week, the Little and I started mallwalking for about an hour a day. Just this week, we upped that time to 2 hours, whether it’s consecutive or split into two trips. In addition, I also added weight traning back into my regimen, focusing soely on arm exercises.

This has worked incredibly well and I feel so good knowing I’m getting in some fitness each day. I’ll need to hold off on abdominal exercises, as well as hard-core cardio, until I hit the 6 week mark and get the approval from the doc.

Mall walking sounds great! I remember when my baby was born last summer how I had to wait alllll day to walk until it was cool enough!

  2. My fitness has been non-existent and I have no excuses haha. Pure laziness. I really got to get back into it though…I’m feeling “soft around the edges.”

I’m trying to figure out new ways each day to exercise with a pregnant 24 week belly. Luckly my body is still letting me run. Pretty sure those days are numbered though!

Awe, you are too sweet! I have been getting in regular workouts lately & it feels amazing! I’ll bet your “enforced vacation” from working out will make you appreciate it that much more in the long run! :)

  5. [...] week I gave a short update on what I’ve been doing to lose the buddha. I’m still chugging along – actually logging about 2 and a half hours of walking a day! [...]
