Fashion Friday – Bondage and such

I totally got you with that title, didn’t I?

It’s OK, we’re all friends ;)

While I have some typical Fashion Friday pics to share, I’m here to talk about something else today.

BONDAGE.

Because within the next 6 weeks, my friends, I plan on wrapping myself like a little sausage.

Here are my supplies:

Yes, that is  Belly Bandit.

Made recently famous by Kourtney Kardashian, the Belly Bandit is an abdominal compression binder designed to help you get your body back to its former fabulousness post childbirth.

You know, it helps the uterus contract back to it’s original state of glory faster than if you just let it all hang out…or something…

Stop judging.

Sure, I may be a victim of false-marketing (although the before/after photos were INCREDIBLY impressive), but I don’t care. I’m giving it a try and of course I’ll be sharing my results with all of you — things should get interesting.

Have any of you used a Belly Bandit (or similar product) before? Men — have your wives used it? What was your experience like?

I have BIG plans for lunch today! Can’t wait to share them with you ;)

I thought about getting a Belly Bandit, but I asked my doctor if it worked and he laughed at me :) Breastfeeding is really your best bet for getting your uterus to shrink down (and that’s what will be making your belly stick out). By 5 weeks post birth, I was back in my jeans with no Bandit (and no diet or exercise, just breastfeeding). By the time I was cleared to workout, I was already back to my normal size.

Inspiration to breastfeed, if nothing else :)

I know one person that used it and it really worked, she only breast fred for 1-2 weeks, the baby just did not want to breast feed, she got this and did not do anything else and her stomach was back to normal. So that is at least one ‘real’ person that used it. I hope it works for you! I def. want to try whenever we plan to have a child.

  5. THat’s hilarious. I love that this is your Fashion Friday post. Oh how things change with babies…or so I’ve heard. :) I’ll be curious to see what you think of it.

Before they had such things (9 years ago) I used the giant suck you in high waisted underwear to help compress it all back after my twins. I personally think it worked wonders. I don’t think your uterus can shrink faster, but it helped with the excess belly ‘fat’ a lot! I have to assume this thing would work too. Brooke Burke sells one-she’s got 4 kids and she’s on the cover of Shape Magazine this month. While my stomach certainly doesn’t look like hers, I would say my stomach is decently flat, I love food, so it will never look like hers! Hope this helps!

  7. I had to come check out the comments on this one. I don’t have anything helpful to add, but I completely agree that it won’t hurt to try it! Keep us updated!

  8. [...] Last week I mentioned that I had a special lunch planned for Friday. Boy did I! [...]

I have made all my pregnant friends get one. Definitely does what it says.
