Holiday Gift Guide for the Fashionistas

Most fashionistas pride themselves on their unique sense of style. This makes them especially hard to shop for, since they rarely want to have “what everyone else has.”
To help you out, I’ve created a quick, short list of dos and don’ts that should help you pick the perfect present for your fashionista
DON’T
Buy something super trendy — they either already have it, are already on to the next trend or don’t like being associated with “the trends”
Buy clothing (unless you know their exact size) — instead, pick fun and interesting accessories like scarves, gloves, headbands, jewelry, purses, etc.
DO
Look at what they wear on a regular basis – do they seem to wear a lot of blue? Keep this in mind when making your purchases, otherwise stick to neutral colors that they can pair with all their other favorite pieces.
RESEARCH — are there any stores/brands they constantly talk about? If so, you’ll know that most things from this designer would be “acceptable.”
One of my favorite places to buy fashion-forward and one-of-a-kind items is Etsy — they are normally quite affordable and so unique! Here are a few things I’m currently loving:
Other ideas: a framed vintage VOGUE poster(LOVE these), books by their favorite designers, coffee table books featuring lots of glossy/glamorous photos, gift card to SAKS (you CANNOT go wrong), GossipGirl, sewing classes - so they can create their own pieces
