Try It – Being a Dad

Try It

Mister here. Just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks to all of you who have been posting comments and sending notes of congratulations on the little one. We’re really excited, happy, scared, etc. – all the emotions people feel with this type of news. I have to admit, that finally telling everyone is making it more real than it has been in the past few months. I’ve been looking forward to fatherhood ever since I can remember, and I can’t wait for it to happen.

I’ll probably chirp in here or there over the next few months between trips to the grocery store for the craving du jour. In the meantime, feel free to comment and let me know some of your fatherhood tips, I’ll need all the help I can get.

Here is an early Fashion Friday for you (taken in an NYC bakery, if there was any doubt):

The best advice I got when we found out my wife was pregnant was “Don’t listen to anyone, you’ll figure it out for yourselves…”

Make this YOUR journey together, don’t rely too heavily on how others have done it. It’s the most amazing ride you’ll ever take together, and it’s worth savoring every moment of it, good, bad, and otherwise.

My only daughter is 19 months old now, and my life is better than at any other time in my 40 years. It’s amazing being a daddy… you’re going to love it.

The OTHER piece of advice I got that I try to live every day is “Love her/his mommy.” That’s the best gift a child can get… parents who love each other.

    Congrats guys!
