Keeping with the Angelina Jolie’s of the week (Girl Interrupted, anyone?), I let the “supporting roles” steal the spotlight once again.
I made a meal out of three of them at P.F. Chang’s just the other night. The cast of characters:
Sauteed mushrooms, grilled asparagus and brown rice. The makings of a perfect meal. This was all followed up by a delicious twist cone with crunch coat from the Dairy Queen — crunch coat might be one of my favorite things in this world. After buttercream icing. And butter.
What is everyone up to this weekend?
I have a fun day planned in Amish country with my mother-in-law and Mama tomorrow! That leaves Sunday pretty much open, I’m sure I’ll drag the Mister somewhere interesting

This week’s theme – the BLUES!
Ok, so maybe it’s blue/green, but it still works. I love the way the simple, colorful scarf adds so much interest to the outfit. You may also notice my ORANGE platforms — the platforms are purple . I love throwing in somehting unexpected.

Now you are probably wondering what the heck this all has to do with Taylor Swift, right? Well, I’ll tell you. Last night, the Mister and I were the models for one of her upcoming greeting cards! Taylor (since we’re on a first-name basis) recently launched her own greeting card line with American Greetings.
Keeping up with the BLUE theme, we got to shoot in an old, blue convertible, while watching the sunset.
Be on the lookout for the Mister and I to hit your local American Greetings retailer! (Walmart, Target, etc.)

Good morning! Can you believe it’s Thursday already?
Busy day planned today! Working all day, but taking a little longer lunch break to take my grandma out for a Mexican lunch at Zocalo – should be fun!
After work, the Mister and I will be heading to a photoshoot for American Greetings, I’ll try and take some on-set, behind the scenes photos! I love it when I get to work with the Mister
But before I get whirled away with the day, let’s all take a few minutes and reflect back on our weeks.
This week, I’m thankful for:
My incredible family
That I’ve managed to keep my house fairly clean since our last thorough cleaning
Grilled cheese sandwiches
The return of MAD MEN
Turkey Bacon
Weekend plans in Amish Country with my mother-in-law and Mama
That Fall is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER – I can smell it!
My Mister, who puts up with me and still manages to love me at the end of every day
That Eat, Pray, Love comes out this weekend!
