Daily Delish – Gone dippin’

Daily Delish

Yesterday the Mister and I required a dinner out (at Bar Louie, to be precise). We had both had long days and a nice night out was all we needed to unwind. In no time, I felt the stress ease out of my shoulders and as always, thoroughly enjoyed my Mister’s company. Why can’t I just spend all of my days lazing around eating good food and laughing with my Mister? I’m telling you, it’s the cure to stress.

And well, pretzel sticks and dipping sauce certainly don’t hurt, either.

Dipping sauces: cinnamon butter (amen), honey mustard and queso.

My only complaint? Not enough pretzels.

How do they expect me to enjoy the dipping sauces? By using my finger and licking them clean? No? Bad table manners? Oops.

For dinner, I enjoyed the fresh fruit plate with cottage cheese. It did not disappoint!

It made the perfect summer dinner! Refreshing, light and colorful ;)

How do you unwind after a long, stressful work day?

  1. I have only been to one Bar Louie in Branson, MO (now closed), but they just opened one in my area. Need to go try it again! How do I unwind….if I’ve not yet worked out, I work out. If I have, then I try my best to sit and relax on the couch (but that’s hard for me to do).

  2. oooh that is one awesome looking fruit platter! So colourful :)

That’s my kind of dinner! Yum!

I unwind by heading into the kitchen and throwing myself into some new and random dessert recipe. Sometimes wine is involved. :D

  4. I love the idea of pretzels before a meal!! Probably just because I love soft pretzels anytime, anywhere, ha!

  5. Oh I miss Bar Louie! I haven’t been to one since living in Chicago and they had FAB girly martinis :)

Your blog gives me such restauarnt envy! Although, amazingly, the fruit plate looks even tastier than the pretzels/dip; it must be summer!

I think it’s awesome the mister is your stress relief! so many people’s partners cause stress. My husband is my stress relief too, there isn’t anything I enjoy more than sitting on the poarch with him, big glass of beer (or water right now…) watching the sunset just chatting about our day.
