HAPPY FRIDAY!
The Mister and I have a big weekend ahead of us! Tonight we’re meeting up with my family to take my mom out to celebrate her retirement! Tomorrow I’m singing for a wedding service and then heading to the Mister’s cousin’s wedding. I LOVE weddings, so I’m super excited
Sunday I’m hoping to get some errands done and hopefully meet up with Jenn or my mom! What are all of you up to?
This week’s outfit was stylish, comfortable and classic — just the way I like it
In the mix:
- Jacket: Target
- Shirt: BCBG
- Pants: Express
- Shoes: Gianni Bini
Note about the jacket: This jacket was NOT as cute as it appears when I bought it from Target. But I loved the color, cut and fabric. But with tacky, plastic buttons it looked pretty cheap. Quick fix? BUTTON BOUTIQUES – or JoAnn Fabrics. By simply changing out the buttons it completely transforms the look! I selected vintagey, yet modern silver buttons. Ever since, I’ve been kind of obsessed with this jacket. Isn’t it fabulous? Plus side of customizing your clothes? They are 100% unique to YOU!
Do you customize your clothes? What are your tricks?

I love that shirt.
oooh those pants are awesome! Have a great weekend!!!
I love this look, you look cute. I love the pants and it’s a great outfit for casual Fridays at the office.
Hi Shannon!! Look how cute you are?!?! I am all for the jacket but probably cuz you changed the buttons. That’s so brilliant!!! Congrats to your mom for her retirement!!!
Cute ideas with the buttons!
If I remember correctly, during your summer stay in Chicago, your aunt dragged you to a fancy button shop next to Barney’s to pick out those buttons. (Not Jo Anns!) This was after you talked her into buying the same jacket.
