The Daily Balance

For those of you who are living under a rock, LARABAR has recently announced its new flavors: Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip Brownie, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. The folks at LARABAR were kind enough to send me each flavor to sample.

I broke into the stash on the way to the Anberlin concert this past weekend. I had planned on sharing both of them with the Mister, to provide all of you with a more well-rounded review, but my mouth got too excited. Ooops. Sorry, Mister.

The first two flavors I broke into were Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Chcolate Chip Cookie Dough

You know when you have a chocolate chip cookie and some bites don’t have any fun? – i.e. NO CHIPS! Not the case here! These babies are jam-packed with chocolatey goodness.

You don’t know it yet, but the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavor will change your world. Seriously. Run, do not walk, to the stores and stock up! I’m predicting multiple love affairs — don’t be embarrassed, it happens to me all of us, too.

I wasn’t as impressed with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I was imagining true, chocolate chip cookie dough taste. Especially after being so blown away by the Peanut Butter variety! This was more like the cashew cookie LARABAR with some chocolate chips thrown in. Sorry, LARA, but ya didn’t win me over on this one. I’ll give the props to Luna — even if their ingredient list isn’t as stellar.

I plan on breaking into the other two flavors soon – I’m surprised I’ve held off this long! I’ll share my findings ASAP!

   I was never the biggest fan of Larabars because the majority of them were more fruity- which I tend to stray from. But those look just wonderful. Like I should leave work right now to go aquire some…

   Look at all those glorious chips!!! I wasn’t a fan of the Lara Bars that I have tried, but the cookie dough has me rethinking my opinion. I’ll pick one up when I see it!
