I love this way of looking at life! For me, this is a vaguely stressful question though... five years ago I was studying, right now I have no idea what I'm doing, and hopefully in 5 years time I'll be happy and doing something I love?!

This is fun...
5 Years Ago I was graduating with my bachelors, partying it up and having a blast and just met my future husband.
Now I am an ag teacher (my major), still having a blast and about to get married.
5 years from now I'll be ...? Have kids! Be working in another field, preferably part time and doing more traveling.

5 years ago I was in my 5th year of classroom teaching, living downtown and partying it up on the weekends. Now I am a resource teacher, living in the suburbs and married. In 5 years I hope to be a consultant for the school board, living back downtown and traveling more.

Great post! I always find it strange to think about what my life will be like in five years...I think I don't want to let myself down by having expectations. I'm getting better at being confident in my future, because I know I'm smart, capable and motivated!

Five Years Ago I was...
In my second to last year of undergrad studying marine biology
Reluctantly thinking about what biology PhD program I wanted to apply for, but not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life
In a not-so-good relationship
Literally running my body into the ground with chronic cardio workouts twice a day

Now I am...
Enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with the goal of becoming a Holistic Health Counselor (I've found what I want to do!)
Living and working in a wonderful city (Boston) that's not too big and not too small
In a healthy, happy relationship that's only moving forward!
Learning how to take better care of myself and what I need to be healthy in terms of food and exercise.

In five years I will be...
Working full-time as a Holistic Health Counselor making my own hours and enjoying my work
Hopefully married...
Feeling healthy and free!

Thanks for getting me thinking!!

P.s. I used to be a voice minor in college! What kind of music did you specialize in? I trained in classical...but my real love is musical theater!

I really like the idea of this post! It's so true, it's crazy the way life happens sometimes - and this is a great exercise to reflect on it and future goals. I may have to use this! xxSAS

Five years ago I was...
Finishing my junior year of high school
Living in Rhode Island
Looking at colleges
Single
Thinking I was going to be a photographer or nutritionist

Now I am...
Halfway through Culinary school and 3 years into my nutrition degree
Living in Toronto, Ontario
Happily cohabiting with my boyfriend of two years in a tiny studio apartment
Peaparing to finish my last year of nutrition after graduating culinary school and becoming a personal chef
Planning my wedding

In five years I will be...
Still in Canada, maybe Toronto, or maybe somewhere close by
A personal chef, focusing on pre and post-natal nutrition
Happily married, living in a house of my own
Hopefully with our cat, and a dog!
