That’s a wrap!

MY BRAIN IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE! I’ve been studying ALL morning for this damn test and I need a break!

The Mister and I had to cancel our bike date! He has some things to deal with at work and is unable to get away ;(

Knowing that my mind NEEDS a break and some fresh air, I just made plans to meet my mama for a walk.

Before I go, I wanted to share an incredible wrap I had yesterday from Liquid Planet. It included: CHEESE, tomatoes and sunflower seeds!

This flavor combo? gasmic. I’m definitely going to try and re-create this at home.

But wait, don’t go! I need your help!

Can you share some study techniques? My test is TOMORROW and I’m not sure if I should study a little bit tonight/in the morning or just let my brain rest until the test. Thoughts/experiences to share?

That combo sounds amazing! I love sun flower seeds and don’t often see them in dishes.

  2. I would definitely say rest. And it will be nice to get out for a walk. I think if you’re relaxed and sleep well, you’ll be all set for the test!

I find that if I am burning out on studying what I have done is make some quick notes. This reinforces what you have learned, gets in your brain in an alternate way, and gives you something to review quickly before going to bed, at a stop light, in a waiting room, etc…

I like to take a break in the afternoon, then look at my overview again right before bedtime so it “sets” in my mind while I’,m sleeping. This, however, is probably not a good idea if you have any insomniac tendencies. I sleep like a log, so it works for me. :)

It depends on what time of day you retain information. If you are a morning person, I say wake up a little bit early and get a little study session in. If you are a night owl, take a break, have some dinner, and then study some more before a reasonable bed time hour. :)

    Good Luck!

Hi Shannon– Thanks for commenting on my blog a few days ago so I could find yours!! That wrap looks absolutely delicious! Throughout school I found that not studying the night before (even if I was burnt out) really didn’t work out for me. By the time the test came I was so anxious and uncomfortable thinking I should have studied more. I found it was best to study the night before for a few hours (without doing other things — Thanks FACEBOOK) and get a good night sleep. The morning before I breifly scanned over my notes once or twice before the test but no hardcore studying. Hope this helps! Good luck!

  7. I’m sorry you had to miss your bike date. Maybe next time! That wrap looks good I’ll have to try that! Don’t study too hard… I know you of all people know how to create a daily balance in your life. ;)

Aww, sorry you had to miss your bike date, but a walk should be nice, too! For studying, I’d say look over your notes, get some rest, and pray! (Always helps me!:))

  9. Too bad about the bike date :(

For studying, I study the night before as much as my brain can handle and not in the morning!! For me, studying in the morning just makes me nervous and sometimes doubt things…

Holy moly, that wrap looks delicious. And I know where you’re coming from with the “too much studying”. Sometimes the brain just needs a break because it’s saturated!

I think it’s different for every person. Normally what I do is I study the day before, but not very intensely, and I give myself the evening off. Then I like to look things over briefly in the morning before the test and double-check things that I’m a bit iffy on.

Good luck! (And if you’ve already taken the test, then I hope it went really well!)

  12. Good work on the study ! A nice walk outside sounds perfect :)
