Hello, again!
First of all, thank you so much on all your kind words re: the Mister’s grandmother. We both appreciate it very much.
This weekend is pretty jam-packed with activity. Tomorrow is Grandma B’s entombment and I sing at a wedding in the afternoon. Then Sunday I’m headed off to a bridal shower. So, of course now is also the time where I’ve been BITTEN — by the baking bug!
I don’t know about you, but when I’m feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious, I BAKE it out. Because it’s something I can control! Because if I follow instructions, measure and use the right ingredients I get something miraculous — and delicious! And if baked goods don’t create happiness I don’t know what does. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again — we could all change the world — one cookie at a time
Naturally I’ve been trying to figure out what to make — do any of you have any go-to baking recipes to share– either one of your own or a favorite? I want something easy and knock-you-on-you-face delicious! Please post your link in the comments. Don’t disappoint me!

In the meantime, read this hilarious post about Cake vs. Pie. You’ll laugh your face off.
Happy Friday!
SO happy it’s Friday – I can’t even tell you how crazy this week has been — literally! — I don’t have time to!
I promise I’ll check in later, but for now I’ll leave you with this week’s outfits!

- Dress: borrowed from my mom
- Shoes: Ann Klein
- Necklace: SAKS
I love the graphic print of this dress! It’s so simple, but super chic. I tried to add a bit of personality with my hot pick flats, what do you think?
This next skirt was love at first sight. It’s not for everyone, but its definitely for me

- Skirt: Anthropologie
- Shirt: GAP
- Belt: I don’t remember!
- Shoes: Cole Haan
I am OBSESSED with this skirt! How whimsical and understated are the horses? I love that I can just as easily pair this with neutral pieces for a more laid-back look.
This next outfit started with a simple black dress. Knowing I wanted to brighten things up a bit, I simply added a cardigan and a head wrap — i liked the final result!

Black dress: Free People
Cardigan and headband: From Cleveland boutique (in Chagrin Falls!)
How do YOU spruce up a simple black dress?
That’s all for now, friends! Any big plans tonight? The Mister and I are going on a double date with my mom and dad – dinner and a movie
Sure, toppings and extras are nice, but sometimes all you really want is cheese, sauce and carbs – am I right?!
Ah, life’s simple offerings.

Flatout+Cheese+Sauce = three steps to deliciousness
What other foods are also enjoyed in their SIMPLE state? My favorites: Peanut butter and banana sandwich, grilled cheese – can you think of any others?
