Thankful Thursday

Thankful

Good morning, friends!

Despite the hardships we face each week, there are bound to be moments that make us a smile and that remind us that all “this” is worth it. This is the time of week that we take a few moments to focus on the “good stuff.” You’ll be surprised how focusing on the positive can start your day off on the right foot or enlighten your mood.

This week, I’m thankful for:

YOU and all your kind words and thoughts for my grandma

The fact that in less than four months I’ll be in Puerto Rico!!!

That my FAVORITE basketball team is part of MARCH MADNESS this year. Yes, one of my favorite friends (yes, I play favorites ;) ) is the team manager of the Sam Houston State Bearkats. If you don’t have a team to root for, please cheer them on! GO BEARKATS!

That I’m getting better at kickball – I’m actually starting to (GASP!) have fun!

Good, quality peanut butter (sometimes it’s the little things, people)

Snapple and that it makes ANYTHING better — even if just for a moment.

My growing strength! I increased my kettlebell to 15 lbs this week!

My persistence and dedication I’m putting towards this stupid GRE words — I’ve made BIG progress ;)

Sunshine

Let’s get some positive momentum going this morning, what are YOU thankful for this week?

  1. Today I am thankful that I have wonderful people surrounding me who always remind me that what matters is not how many times we fall down, but how many times we get back up.

I am very behind, so let me extend my thoughts and prayers to your grandma as well. I am so close to my Nana and she has had so many ups and downs over the last couple of years. More downs than ups. Its so scary and it breaks my heart.

I’m glad you can focus on positive things during a scary time :)

  5. Yay bring on those heavier kettlebells!

I’m thankful we are headed to see my dad tonight! I haven’t seen him since Christmas.

  8. Thoughts and prayers are still with you, girlfriend.

To keep up the positive vibe around here, I am most thankful for my health. Without out, anything else is insignificant. It’s the most important thing to have and embrace EVERY day, which is why a healthy lifestyle is so important!

    1) March Madness is starting
    2) My son slept in his bed without the baby railing and didn’t fall on the floor.
    3) That everyone around me is healthy.

Good job w/the increase in kettlebell weight! I just bought one a couple of weeks ago. Are there any kettlebell dvds that you recommend? I already purchased one of Sara Lourie’s dvds and I’m looking to expand my collection. Using the kettlebell has been a lot of fun and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far!!

  15. Tracy — I don’t use DVDs, but there are a few great FREE audio workouts at liftkettlebells.com

    check ‘em out!
