Daily Delish – when cheating feels too good

Daily Delish

I CHEATED.

Remember my lenten commitment? Well, I tried not to think about it as I was stuffing my face with THIS:

Yes, that is my beloved za.

Before you start casting your judgements, let me EXPLAIN!

The Mister and I had BIG news to celebrate! He made some amazing achievements professionally and I am so incredibly proud of him. He wanted a za, and how could I possibly let down this charming smile?

This photo is more than 5 years old, but I love it ;)

How are you guys doing on your lent commitments? Any other cheaters to join me in my corner of shame?

  1. Well it definitely seems like this was a SPECIAL celebration and surely God will understand! haha!

  2. It happens. I find it ironic that I probably only eat meat two or three days a week. What do I find myself craving the last couple of Fridays? Something with meat in it. Blah!

  7. I gave up sweets/desserts for Lent and I haven’t broken it consciously yet. I did eat half a cinnamon bagel after my 5k this morning that they were handing out but I really don’t believe that counts. I wasn’t treating it as a dessert. I was treating it as an after run recovery. But some people still might say it’s a “sweet”. It’s hard though! You can jump back on the bandwagon and finish well!! Only 3 weeks left until Easter!

I did really well my first week (my resolution was to eat at least 5 servings of veggies a day) but I’ve failed 3 times this week. It’s hard, haha!

I dont think Jesus could be mad at you for eating pizza that looks sooooo yum!!! I need to find a reason to visit Cleveland just to try that!

Ummm, yeah I gave up on mine. I was doing no red meat, pork or chicky but was feeling ill, no energy, etc. so incorporating that back in.

  10. How can you break commitments you didn’t take…hmmm, speaking about me! This looks yummy and cheesy and delicious!!!
