Thankful Thursday – for my baby brother ;)

My brother’s birthday is this Sunday, and what better way to celebrate than with a blogpost dedication. I mean, can you think of a greater honor?! ;)

It’s no secret that my family is the greatest — and my brother is obviously a huge factor in our equation of perfection. I am so proud of him and the man he has become.

I’m thankful for my brother because…

He does the best It’s Pat impression

He’s the reason I know all the lines to The Mouse and the Motorcycle and The Brave Little Toaster

He puts me in my place

He’s always been my partner in crime — between spying on neighbors to “begging” for money (don’t ask)

He always believed my over-embellishments. Like that potato chip popple actually creates potato chips when left unattended.

He let me dress him up like a little pilgrim every.single.Thanksgiving. (I was Pocahontas, of course!)

He NEVER missed one of my plays

Even though he could kick my ass, he still let me think I was just as good as him in karate

But most of all… because he makes me a better person, sister and friend.

    I have too many favorite memories to share! My sister is my best friend. I am just thankful to have her in my life period.

    Aww, such a sweet post! My sister and I fought so much when we were growing up, but now she’s my best friend…and she’s hopefully giving birth for the first time this week! Her due date is on Saturday!

    I have a little sister and brother who aren’t really that little anymore. My brother just graduated and got a real world job and my sister’s had her degree and a salary job for three years now. Sometimes I feel like I’m the younger one, I just landed my first real job.

    My little bro’s bday is next week- and it’s so amazing to me how much he’s grown up! It feels like just yesterday I could convince him to do pretty much anything- btwn riding with me in a little red wagon down a hill (inevitably into a brick wall- don’t ask) to playing “hairdresser” where I’d make him let me style his hair and sometimes even throw on some makeup. Don’t tell him I said that… lol

    I have one brother. We dont speak anymore, but growing up we were always really close. Obviously we fought, but thats what siblings do. He’s grown into a person that I just cant get along with, and I try not to think about it too much because its sad.

    I think its so great that you have a good relationship with your brother. I would LOVE to have that.

    I have 2 younger brothers. The youngest one is 23, he is moving to the other side of the country on Saturday! He is 16 years younger than I am and I love him to bits. I can’t believe that he is all grown up and that I have to now drive for 3 days to see him!

    My brother’s used to record storybooks on a cassette tape so that I could “read” a book whenever I wanted to. It was very sweet of them!

    Of course, they also used to tickle me until I cried, but we’ve all gotten over that. :-)
