Thankful Thursday – Turn that frown upside down

Categories:

Thankful

I’m having a bad morning. Slash that, I’m having a bad week. Between missing my Mister (he’s working SO late – and on weekends!), worrying about his stress level and carrying my own issues, it hasn’t been fun — and the weather isn’t helping!

It’s OK — it happens. My point in telling you this is that despite all the frowns this week, there have been smiles, too. And that, my friends, is what I’m going to focus on this morning. Because just like I say time and time again – there is always SOMETHING to be thankful for. Sure, sometimes your list will be shorter, but that doesn’t lessen the value of the things on it!

This week I’m thankful for…

The fact that I have such an amazing Mister to miss

Easy dinners

New friends (and old ones!)

New reading material

The upcoming weekend: We have a great dinner planned with friends, I have a fashion show, I’m singing at church and SUPERBOWL Sunday!

My favorite hoodie

Vitatops (flavor of the moment: triple chocolate chunk)

What are you thankful for this week?

REMEMBER – Have a burning question you want to ask me? ASK ME ANYTHING -It’s 100% anonymous so don’t hold back!

Great post! I love the idea of being thankful every day :) Sometimes I have days/weeks like this too, and you’re right – it makes it so much better to just stop and think about the good things

  3. Awww…sorry you’re having a bad week. But it sounds like you have an awesome weekend planned!!! I want to hear more about that fashion show!

  4. Sorry your week is not going so great hopefully the weekend will help that!

Today I am thankful for my job, my boyfriend, family, my puppies, friends, my iphone game words with friends, vitatops as well YUM!! I was never able to find them in a store not at Whole Foods or Central Market here in Austin until a Sprouts opened up near me so this is a new obsession!

  5. i am so thankful for my husband, my puppies, and i’m actually thankful for my body this week (a first!!!). hope your day goes fabulously :)

  6. In this moment… I’m thankful for being able to work from a coffee shop with my best friend, a huge mug of cafe au lait, free wireless and being able to stare at the window at the poor people who have to schlep to an office job every day. ;)

  7. I love this post! I have a hard time with thinking positive instead of focusing on the negative so for the month of Feb, I’m challenging myself to write down 3 positive things that happened each day that I am thankful for on my blog. It’s really helping :) Positivity is so important. It’s not always our circumstances that affect us, but how we REACT to them.

So, I am thankful for my health, good food, friends, family, my wonderful job, the blogging community, and this day :D Thank you, I needed that

I LOVED Lovely Bones! Such a great book. I’m thankful this week for Pilates (as ever), Victoria’s Secret Pink sweatpants, and for the new season of Lost!

  10. [...] One of the blogistas that I follow takes time every week to do a Thankful Thursday post. I never acknowledge things I should be thankful for often enough (once a year on Turkey Day?) [...]

Good post today. I was having a cruddy week myself, but your post reminded me of all I have to be thankful for! Hope you don’t mind, I stole the idea and did a “thankful thursday” post myself. With lots of credit where due, of course! :)
