You were just thinking that Yoga Week couldn’t get any better, weren’t you? I’ve giving away a yoga mat, yoga mat sling and Yogi teas, what could I possibly do to compare?!

Well for those of you who are true yogis, you know that yoga is never really “over”. It’s not like you wake up one day and say “ah, that was fun, but I’ve maxed out!” I mean can you ever become TOO focused? TOO balanced? TOO at peace with your body? I think not. There is always more to learn. You are never really “done” learning yoga. I mean, isn’t the whole point that you are always working on self-fulfillment, inner balance and meditation? Even the finest yogis know there is still much to learn. And for those of us starting out, well, we need the most help we can get ;)

That’s why today’s giveaway is so great!

Yoga Journal is giving away a FULL YEAR subscription to the magazine. I cannot even tell you how jealous I am.

To enter, simply leave a comment telling me how much you love yoga ;) Easy, peasy, right?

TO WIN EXTRA ENTRIES YOU MAY:

Just leave me a comment letting me know that you did each of the above and you can get up to 4 more entries!! If you already follow on twitter, google reader and have me on your Blogroll, just let me know – you’ll still get an extra entry

Good luck!

  1. I’ve only tried yoga a few times but I like how relaxed my entire body feels afterwards. It feels worked-out but loose.

I’m trying to get back into yoga, I keep forgetting how calm, fluid, and centered it makes me feel. What I love most about it is how it makes me aware of my body in a different way than running does.

I love yoga because there’s always a reason for me to practice. Either to relax, relieve soreness, or just move my body!

  31. I actually don’t love yoga right now. My back was bothering my a bit yesterday and yoga last night seems to have exacerbated the problem because I am in some seriously uncomfortable pain right now! :) Of course, it’s my own fault for not listening to my body and taking it easy! (See, always learning.) Truly though, I love yoga. I started with class once a week, and now I’m going 2 or 3 times a week (depending on my schedule.) I really love that I’m beginning to see real improvement in some of my poses! I feel so accomplished!

You’re on my blogroll and google reader.

Yoga has seriously changed my life for the better. Stress is a major enemy for Crohn’s Disease, so by managing stress via daily yoga, I am able to live healthier and calmer.

I love how yoga can be practiced anywhere, inside or outside, on a beach cliff or in the garage. No need to go to a gym or a studio.

  39. Cole said:

Yoga is the only way I can convince myself to stretch/do core exercises. And it keeps me relaxed, which is definitely a great side effect.

I love yoga because it makes me feel strong. Not in the “look how much weight I can lift” way, but in the “look how amazing my body actually is” way.

I think yoga saved my life. I discovered yoga when I was going through the lowest point in my life- ending toxic friendships/bad relationships, my father’s death, losing an alarming amount of weight and developing disordered eating habits (not full-fledged ED, more like orthorexia), work stress… you name it, it was hitting me all at once. I did the therapy, wrote in my journal, etc., but nothing brought me the healing and inner calm that yoga has. With yoga I have found a place of love and self-acceptance I had never felt in my whole life. I love how yoga is so personal, so unique to every different person- there are no two people who will ever do the pose exactly the same. It brings out the creativity and individuality within each and every one of us. I think it’s helped me to gain a deeper sense of respect and compassione for those around me- I can now see the good in people who used to annoy the hell out of me (don’t get me wrong, they still annoy me, LOL, just not so much). Sometimes when I do yoga, I cry a little, b/c I enter into this state of calm, well-being, strength, and freedom… it’s just the most amazing feeling ever. In fact, I just booked my first-ever yoga retreat at Kripalu yesterday. I’m not sure I’d be the person I am today if I hadn’t discovered yoga, and I love the person I’m becoming more and more every day. :-)

  48. OHH very exciting! I have started to make yoga part of my running practice and amazing, I am now more centered and a healthier runner
