Yoga week – Day 4 – Yoga Journal (giveaway alert!)

You were just thinking that Yoga Week couldn’t get any better, weren’t you? I’ve giving away a yoga mat, yoga mat sling and Yogi teas, what could I possibly do to compare?!

Well for those of you who are true yogis, you know that yoga is never really “over”. It’s not like you wake up one day and say “ah, that was fun, but I’ve maxed out!” I mean can you ever become TOO focused? TOO balanced? TOO at peace with your body? I think not. There is always more to learn. You are never really “done” learning yoga. I mean, isn’t the whole point that you are always working on self-fulfillment, inner balance and meditation? Even the finest yogis know there is still much to learn. And for those of us starting out, well, we need the most help we can get ;)

    For someone with a running addiction who also cannot skip Boot Camp classes taught by an ex Marine, my weekly yoga class offers the ideal alternative to the high powered daily workouts. It centers me, quiets my mind and stretches just the right muscles!

Oh my Gosh…I would LOVE this – more than I can say – like my insides are squeezing me and doing a little dance…;)…seriously though, they are…I am adding my comment, and hopefully will blog on it. How much I love yoga? What to say? It’s been on my blog, it’s what I write about…it’s not the physical part – it’s my search for connection to the human spirit and seeking a greater purpose in life…because right now, I am extremely lost. To me, I want to live my life HAPPY, but above all, as a better person and radiate that to others…we’ll see. Love your blog…darn though you have too many followers – so I’ll never get the win haha ;) …no! I shall practice AHIMSA – compassion and non-violence towards others :)

  6. Um.. I LOVE Yoga beyond words! It is such a great stress reliever for me and makes me feel so much better after an hour or hour and a half yoga session1 I would love this magazine!!

    i love yoga for the way it leaves my body feeling afterwards, all light and graceful. I am currently taking a yoga/pilates/tai chi class at the gym that is really awesome! I would love to learn more about it and maybe be able to do more by myself. I have also emailed a friend about your giveaway week who takes the class with me!

    I love yoga for changing my life! I was super fit and healthy until I got Lyme disease from a bite I got on vacation in Greece. I spent 2 years unable to exercise or do much of anything and then one day I watched a yoga dvd and then the next day I tried one of the easy poses and then kept adding poses and now I’ve been doing yoga at home every single day for 2 months and attending the free Lululemon class every sunday. Yoga really brought me back to life and is getting me back in shape and has changed my idea of excercise completely!!

    I confess that I did not always love yoga, but I am definitely growing to love it for the opportunity it gives me to stretch and use parts of my body that don’t normally get worked out.
