Daily Delish – Spicin’ it up!

Daily Delish

Once again I got lazy resourceful this week and relied on an old stand-by… CHILI! I swear, I don’t want to brag, but this is like the best chili recipe, ever. To make is spicier, just add more chili pepper.

After I dished it out, I topped it with lots of cheddar cheese and enjoyed it alongside of Garden of Eatin’ organic blue corn chips. For the record, these chips are delicious perfect ratio of crunch and salt!

SO. YUM.

Make this!

Tonight we’ream going out with the Mister’s boss, Tom and his girlfriend Jess, for his Tom’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOM!)

Jess chose the spot and I am so excited! I’ve been wanting to try it forever — it’s called L’Albatros. The menu looks phenomenal! Check it out and let me know what you would order — trust me, it’s a tough choice!

Hi there! Thanks fro visiting my blog! I’m happy to have found yours too. I have been wanting to make chili for a while, but my husband doesn’t like beans, so I put it off. But I think he’s going to have to deal with some beans because I have chili on the brain now!

    Have a wonderful weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your chili looks great. I always have to put just a little cheddar on top.

  3. WOW! That looks good….

L’albatros looks like a fine place. Well…let me tell you what I would pick. But first I have to say I love south western French food (meaning anything with duck!). So my choice would be the Duck confit or the cassoulet for the Entree. The starter is hard: I love LOVE escargot (a burgundy specialty) but I also love oysters and I think you might really enjoy the pork rillettes. Dessert would be the Canelé (a specialty from Bordeaux) without an hesitation.

    Have fun!

Seriously, is there anything better than homemade chili & tortilla chips? I say NO!! :)

Have a wonderful evening! L’Albatros looks incredible. First thing that caught my eye was the sauteed Skate Wing. If you like fish, you have to have the skate wing! It is THE BEST FISH, in my opinion ;)

I also hovered a while over “goat cheese tart with olives & sun dried tomatoes”. YUM!

I accidentally found your blog while recipe hunting and had to tell you how great it is – perfect combo of health, fitness, fashion, food and fun. I have a totally personal, girly (and probably inappropriate) question I’m dying to ask you…Do wear padded bras or are you naturally blessed? You have a perfect figure and I’m totally envious.

    • Melissa – you are too kind — I am in fact naturally blessed, but sometimes I don’t consider it that much of a blessing! The grass is always greener… ;)

Thanks so much for your sweet comment, I hope you keep visiting!
      xo

Chili isn’t lazy, it’s balanced, healthful, and delicious!! Yours looks fabulous!!

    Have a great weekend!

  18. I love chili, especially on cold days! Blue Corn Tortilla chips are also amazing.

  19. That IS tough! I think i’d order the French Toast to start and then maybe the roast chicken (wouldn’t usually get that but it sounds so good or the root vegetable cassoulet. Dessert would be warm chocolate brownie or pumpkin cheesecake.. can’t go wrong either way!

  20. Yum! I haven’t had chili yet this winter, crazy as that sounds! Also I’ve never made it myself! I should give it a try, maybe in the slow cooker.
