Make It

Ready for one of the easiest recipes EVER?

Step one: Pick some yummy veggies

like carrots!

and red-skin potatoes!

Step two: Add in some healthy protein…

pork chops

Step three: Go to town on the seasonings! (I added rosemary and thyme).

Put all ingredients into the crock pot (I added a bit of olive oil an water to make sure the dish didn’t dry out).

And forgetta ’bout it!

You’ll come home to a kitchen that smells heavenly and a warm home-cooked meal.

I swear, this thing is a LIFESAVER on days that you just want to come home and RELAX after work (and not have to resort to ordering a pizza)

How often do you use the crockpot? Any good recipes to share?

My parents make a meal similar to that but I think they use beef? I don’t know but crock pots are the best!

  3. I LOVE THE CROCKPOT!!!! Seriously… mine’s saved me tons of times!

  4. I love my crockpot. It’s the most amazing thing to throw a few items in in the morning and then come home to a delicious-smelling dinner. And no burning! It’s seriously the best kitchen appliance ever.

I’m a big fan of crockpot soups, although according to my handy Crockpot cookbook, you can even bake in them!

I love my crockpot. But I don’t use it nearly enough. The other great thing about crockpots is that generally the recipes make HUGE batches and then there are leftovers to freeze – making a work-free meal for another time ( love those )

  7. I so love crockpots! How much water did you happen to stick in there?

I love a good crockpot meal. My favorite is a pork tenderloin that I cook with garlic cloves, rosemary and pomegranate juice. So simple, yet so delicious.

A crock pot is on my list of appliances I want for my next apartment! I never realized how absolutely genius they are!

  10. I just figured out you don’t really need a recipe for crock pots. I use mine mostly for beans and wild rice. I don’t like the overcooked veggies. Or maybe I’m doing it wrong?

The only rule I have come across is don’t overfill or when it gets to boiling it makes a mess. Yep learned that the hard way.

  11. That is such a good idea!!!
I like to make spaghetti sauce, soups, and chilis in a crock pot. Yum!

The crockpot saves me on so many occasions. I actually have it on the menu for the week. Crockpot chicken is a favorite of mine.

  17. Foy — try setting it on a lower setting or not cooking it as long!

Good taste — I used about 1/4 cup — and about 1 tablespoon of olive oil!

I LOVE my slow cooker! It almost feels like its a way to cheat for cooking, because it’s so easy, yet it turns out way tasty with no work :-)
