Translation = three four people dining together in a state of ecstasy
I took SOME of your recommendations and ordered:
I basically ate this entire thing myself. No joke — The Mister and my mother- and father -in- law may have managed to get a few bites, but I hoarded this plate of goodness.
That being said, with a belly full of cheese, I was rather full after my first course. So I went with soup and salad. Boring? I think not.

Melange Salad - mixed greens with dried apricots, fresh grapes, feta cheese and zesty-lemon vinaigrette on the side.
The chicken dumpling soup was the best I’ve ever had! The dumplings were so plump and doughy — I could have eaten an entire bowl of them!
The salad was light and refreshing — just what I needed after a belly full of cheese and dough
While I would have loved to have had dessert, I simply had no room to spare. Plus, I knew a cupcake was waiting for me at Playhouse Square, where we saw CHICAGO.
It was FANTASTIC the actors were phenomenal and the vocals were spot-on — for those of you who know the show, you know this is a MUST – vocals carry the entire performance (sorry, my inner geek is showing
)
All in all, this was a great way to spend a Saturday evening, good company + great food + singing and dancing = happy Shannon
(and a worn-out Mister!)

That is one of my favorite shows!! I saw it on Broadway with Bebe Neuwirth and Marilu Henner in 1998 and saw the movie the day it came out!
Sounds like a great dinner!!! Chicken and dumplings is one of my all time favorite meals, ever.
That must be so pretty delicious for you to consume all of those.. Well, good for you.. Keep posting!
I love Chicago! SUCH a great musical!
That fondue looks amazing!
That fondu looks amazing. I’m a sucker for warm bread and butter. My “special treat” dinner for myself is always fresh bread and fancy cheese with strawberries and a glass of wine. Not exactly good for me, but every once in a while it is divine!
ah goat cheese fondue sounds so good!!
I loveee fondue, so good!
goats cheese fondue! I am drooling – I would definitely have eaten the whole thing myself!
Goat cheese fondue would be my last request meal if I were on death row.
That sounds fantastic! And I am so jealous you saw Chicago. I haven’t seen that but would love too! The last musical I saw was Wicked..and it was off the charts good! Have you seen that one? But if I had to choose my all time favorite musical I think I would pick eithe Oklahoma or Fiddler On The Roof. Ah…but Cats is really good too…shoot there are just too many to chose from!
