Update: Chiropractic report

Well, I made it back from the Chiropractor in one piece!

It turns out that I do have sciatica. The doctor isn’t sure how or why, but at some point in my life, one of the discs in my back have skewed a bit out of alignment, which is causing pressure on my sciatic nerve and providing the source of my terrible pain.

We started out with therapy that consisted of ice packs and electric pressure. The electric therapy calmed and relaxed the muscles, while the ice reduced swelling and inflammation.

The Chiropractor then twisted me like a pretzel, performing several adjustments and re-alignments.

That's me!

That's me!

I’m still sore, and there is definitely still pain in my leg, but it has definitely come down a notch and I feel a bit looser. I have another appointment next Monday and ill continue to go until I’m feeling better (Chiropractor estimates about 4-5 visits)

Meanwhile, I have popped some Advil and am relaxing with the Mister and my electric blanket. We’re currently watching Planet Earth on the new blu-ray player (i.e. PS3! – lucky Mister!) until the Biggest Loser Finale — I can’t wait!

Are you watching the Biggest Loser? Who are you rooting for?
