Try it- A ‘D-light’ful start to the day!

So you may have caught on to the fact that I AM STILL ON JURY DUTY! Yes, it is true — for I wish this was one of my dramatic over-exagerations, but NO.
Needless to say, the days have been pretty “fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants,” in that I don’t know how long I’ll be in court, or what time I’ll have to get here the next morning. My plan has been to not make plans — fun, huh?!
Well, it isn’t too bad — at least I am on a fairly interesting case and I promise to share the juicy details once the trial is over — we don’t want me being held in contempt now, do we?! 
One of the nice things that came from this crazy schedule was the opportunity to try a lot of food products I’ve been saving for these types of situations. You guys know that I normally either have peanut butter and banana waffles or eggs and toast for breakfast, but I haven’t have time on my side this week and have had to look for other options.
Enter: Jimmy Dean D-lights
You’ve seen the commercials with the sun and the cloud, right? Of course you have.
I spotted the Canadian Bacon Honey Wheat Muffin and crossed my fingers that it would taste as good as it looked on the box. Made with naturally lean bacon, egg whites and American cheese, the ingredients list is pretty great for a frozen, packaged food.
Final verdict – can you tell I’m in ‘jury mode?’
These are delicious! The bacon is incredibly flavorful and the english muffin is soft and chewy. The sandwich makes the perfect combination of protein/carb/fat, so it does a great job of suppressing the appetitive and providing the energy you’ll need to get through your day at the office (or in the jury box!)
The Mister loves these so much that I have caught him enjoying them for breakfast AND a late-night snack- and he thought he had me fooled!
Next time you are looking for a quick, nutritional breakfast, give Jimmy Dean a try! I have not had the opportunity to try the other breakfast offerings, but if this sandwich was any indication, I’m sure they are tasty!
