Happy Friday!!
I’m super busy today (and this weekend). I’ve been up since 5:30, getting me and the Mister ready for our trip. My whole family (except my bro) is headed to Connecticut this weekend for my cousin’s wedding! I’ve never been there (or anywhere in New England), so I’m super excited!
Also, this is the first wedding in a REALLY long time that the Mister and I both have no commitments (i.e.- singing, being the best man, bridesmaid, etc.) It’ll be nice to truly relax and just have a good time with my family. I’ll be sure to share photo recaps!
Anyway, I have a short day in the office today and LOTS to get done so let’s get right to it, shall we?

- Shirt: Limited
- Vest: SAKS
- Skirt: Talbots
- Boots: Calvin Klien

I love that with layering, black and grey can actually be interesting! This vest is one of my favorite pieces and I layer it over outfits all the time for an added interest to the outfit.
Hope you guys all have an excellent day!
Any of you from the Hartford Connecticut area? We have an entire free day on Saturday — any recommendations?
Also — do you guys prefer being part of the wedding or just attending as a guest?
I’ve already received some Fashion Friday contestentries for this month! Remember to send me your photos by October 30th!
They’re back! After receiving a text from VeggieGirl last week, I BOOKED IT (side note: remember ‘Book it?’ – flashback!) and bought myself a dozen. And yes, they were worth the $2.99/pound price tag – I seriously cannot rave enough about these apples, I’ve been looking forward to them all year! I babbled on and on about them while I was in line, I even convinced the cashier to buy some!
If you have not yet tried a Honeycrisp apple, do. As in, right now. You have not tried an apple until you have taken a bite of a Honeycrisp. I’m not even going to attempt to explain the experience, for I know that nothing I say could measure up to the juicy goodness of a Honeycrisp apple. I dare you to show me a more delicious apple. You can’t. I win.
You should also know that they are only available now through November — so enjoy them while you can

Have you tried Honeycrisp apples? Are you as obsessed with them as I am?
The coutdown the Greys Anatomy begins! I cannot wait!
First off, I would like everyone to hold their judgement on this post. I realize there are more important things to be thankful for than what I am about to chat with you about. But this week, this takes the cake. Fair enough? Cool.
As the days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to cool down, it seems as if leaving the house after 8:00 becomes more and more unattractive. Unless we are going on a long walk outside or heading to a coffee shop, weeknights start to wind down at our house around 8ish. “What do you want to do?” is a common question in the Mister and Misses household, as I’m sure it is in many of yours, as well.
This week, I am thankful for the additional evening entertainment that this time of the year brings. You guessed it…TV SHOWS.
Remember when I told you not to judge?
This week I’m thankful for all the new TV shows!
Now am I planning on watching hours of TV every night? No! But am I planning on watching my favorites and filling up our DVR so that when we have ‘nothing to do,’ we can actually watch TV that is worth watching? ABSOLUTELY!
I know you are DYING to know my favorite shows aren’t you? Ok, OK, I’ll tell you
MUST WATCH EACH WEEK:
Comedies: Office, HIMYM, Big Bang
Drama: Greys, House, Lost (doesn’t start till January!)
Reality: Biggest Loser
SAVE FOR A RAINY DAY:
Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU (and the original), Project Runway (it is too late during the week!), NUMB3RS

What are your favorites?
