Last update from the wedding weekend, I promise!
The fam and I had a long day of traveling on Sunday and I wasn’t sure when we’d be able to eat (or what would be available). So I took advatage of being able to have a heavier breakfast than usual.
I ordered a banana and granola parfait with plain yogurt and a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel (boy have I missed those!) – maybe not the healthiest choice, but it did the job of keeping my hunger in check.

This was a delicious start to the day and a great way to cap off my weekend!
What types of foods do you rely on when you want to keep you hunger in check?

I *heart* carbs.. especially slathered in cream cheese
I like to eat egg whites when I am hungry, but don’t want to whip up a full feast.
Oooh, isn’t it the best when they give you two cream cheeses? I used to have to ask for that at my usual place in college. When I want to keep hunger in check I either go with yogurt or a light sandwich — whole-grain bread, low-fat cheese, turkey, mustard and lettuce/tomato. There’s nothing more perfect than that.
Oatmeal. It always keeps my hunger in check. Same with bananas. Healthy and filling.
I try to rely on almonds or small pieces of fruit to keep my hunger in check.
carbs are the way to go! Yogurt messes are a great way to go as well cause they usually pack in ALOT of protein!
LOVE yogurt parfaits! My favorite right now is Fage 2% with a small amount of granola, sliced strawberries and a little honey. YUM!
