Happy Friday!!

I’m super busy today (and this weekend). I’ve been up since 5:30, getting me and the Mister ready for our trip. My whole family (except my bro) is headed to Connecticut this weekend for my cousin’s wedding! I’ve never been there (or anywhere in New England), so I’m super excited!

Also, this is the first wedding in a REALLY long time that the Mister and I both have no commitments (i.e.- singing, being the best man, bridesmaid, etc.) It’ll be nice to truly relax and just have a good time with my family. I’ll be sure to share photo recaps!

Anyway, I have a short day in the office today and LOTS to get done so let’s get right to it, shall we?

I love that with layering, black and grey can actually be interesting! This vest is one of my favorite pieces and I layer it over outfits all the time for an added interest to the outfit.

Hope you guys all have an excellent day!

Any of you from the Hartford Connecticut area? We have an entire free day on Saturday — any recommendations?

Also — do you guys prefer being part of the wedding or just attending as a guest?

    Ahhh yay!! I LOVE weddings! I was a flower girl in my aunt’s which was fun but I don’t remember that much so I can’t really compare. I hope you guys have a blast though!

    I also love weddings. So much fun to share someone’s special day. For me weddings are the most fun when I am friends (rather than relatives… to much family drama) with either bride/groom, but not in the party so no added stress. I tried to think of my friends when planning my own wedding- i decided to just have my sisters (and my fiance’s brothers) in the wedding. But now I think they are actually disappointed that they’re not in the wedding. SIGH you can never please everyone!

    I’m in Connecticut! Unfortunately, Hartford is about 1 1/2 hours away, so I don’t hane tons of recommendations. BUT, I do know a place called Hot Tomatoes which is pretty fun and has yummy food and martinis!

    I have a gray denim vest just like that — true story: It’s from Hannah Montana’s fashion line and I got it at walmart for like, 10 dollars. Don’t hate! ;)
