Thankful Thursday – Start up the theme songs!

Thankful

First off, I would like everyone to hold their judgement on this post. I realize there are more important things to be thankful for than what I am about to chat with you about. But this week, this takes the cake. Fair enough? Cool.

As the days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to cool down, it seems as if leaving the house after 8:00 becomes more and more unattractive. Unless we are going on a long walk outside or heading to a coffee shop, weeknights start to wind down at our house around 8ish. “What do you want to do?” is a common question in the Mister and Misses household, as I’m sure it is in many of yours, as well.

This week, I am thankful for the additional evening entertainment that this time of the year brings. You guessed it…TV SHOWS.

Remember when I told you not to judge?

This week I’m thankful for all the new TV shows!

Now am I planning on watching hours of TV every night? No! But am I planning on watching my favorites and filling up our DVR so that when we have ‘nothing to do,’ we can actually watch TV that is worth watching? ABSOLUTELY!

I know you are DYING to know my favorite shows aren’t you? Ok, OK, I’ll tell you ;)

MUST WATCH EACH WEEK:

Comedies: Office, HIMYM, Big Bang

Drama: Greys, House, Lost (doesn’t start till January!)

Reality: Biggest Loser

SAVE FOR A RAINY DAY:

Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU (and the original), Project Runway (it is too late during the week!), NUMB3RS

TV shows

What are your favorites?

  2. I love House! My husband and I watch it religiously. Other favourites are Two and a Half Men, Gary UnMarried, True Blood (though it’s over now), CSI (the original one), and Heroes. We have Glee on hold for a rainy day and I personally love Nip/Tuck (though the Husband is VERY behind – like, 2 seasons!).

Winter comes to Canada soon enough … we’ll have nothing better to do but watch TV! (And stare at our expensive new deck, which will probably be completed right before the snow falls!).
