The Daily Balance

Continuing with sharing my fall-themed Saturday, I figured I’d give you guys a peek at my fantastic breakfast from the Original Pancake House. The Original Pancake House is one of my favorite breakfast spots, but we tend to keep it an occasional, special occurrence – since everything (at least all the items I want to order, anyway) is SO decadent! Keeping with the fall theme, I ordered one of my favorite things on the menu…

PUMPKIN PANCAKES!

Pumpkin Pancakes from the Original Pancake House

This was a SIDE order. And yes, that is whipped cream (obvi!)

I added on a side of fresh fruit, too.

This was the perfect way to kick off our day and I can’t wait to go back! I have a feeling I’ll be enjoying this meal again this season

   I have probably said this before but I just can’t say it enough…I ADORE ALL THINGS PUMPKIN!! Mostly because fall is my favorite season and spiced/pumpkin goodies always put that cozy fall feeling in the tummy!

   But a pumpkin pancake has never occurred to me! What an original autumn idea – marrying breakfast ( my favorite meal) with pumpkins. Bravo!

   I used to looooove IHOP strawberry pancakes. They were definitely a rare indulgence for me. However, the last time I had them (about 3 years ago) they weren’t as good as I remembered and I haven’t had a craving for them since. Very odd.
