Daily Delish – Protein…on a plate

How many of you have been lucky enough to try the healthy options Starbucks introduced earlier this year?
Me? As of a few weeks ago, not so much! None of the Starbucks in my area were serving the egg wraps/sandwiches and I saw no sign of the highly anticipated (for me, anyway!) Protein Plate, which I describe as a platter of deliciousness including a hard boiled egg, cheese, grapes, multi-grain bread, apple slices and almond butter. Doesn’t that sound heavenly? Yea, I thought so too, which is why I scoured every Starbucks in my area — but still turned up empty handed ;(
It was on our Toronto trip that the Mister and I finally spotted the goods! We were a bit pressed for time the morning we were planning on heading back to Cleveland, so we ordered egg white wraps from Starbies (which were delish, by the way!) and I snagged a Protein Plate to serve as my car snack
– of course I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte for the road!

Sorry for the mediocre pic, but I didn’t have time to be all fancy, I wanted to dig in… STAT!
And ‘dig in’ I did!
This thing was so fresh and delicious and kept me full for hours! I loved the interactive experience of the snack, too — ya know, spreading the nut butter, dipping the apples, mixing and matching the flavors – it was so fun to eat!
I suppose it would be fairly simple to make one of these for myself, but things always taste better when someone else makes them, am I right?
