Make It

Gimme an I! Gimme a L! Gimme an I! What’s that spell?!

OK — who else is excited for FOOTBALL SEASON! From the excitement in the crisp, fall air to the layered hoodies snuggling underneath a quilted blanket, every single thing about a football game makes my heart flutter. With football comes the other colors and flavors of fall that I look forward to all year, so it’s no surprise that I associate this sport with everything that’s good in the world.

An element not to be forgotten of course, is THE FOOD!

My favorite being — CHILI. Dust off those crock-pots, people, it’s time.

You’ll need:

Saute onions until tender. Add ground turkey and tomato. Cook until turkey is cooked through. Set aside.

Mix remaining ingredients in the crock pot. Add turkey mixture.  Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4 hours.

You’ll love the way this chili makes your whole house smell delicious!

I like to put out bowls with fun ‘toppings’ for the chili, such as…

Enjoy as your cheer on your hometeam!
