The Daily Balance

Hello, everyone! Sorry for the sporadic and short posts – it has been an extremely busy week and I assure you everything will be back to normal next week

If you follow me on twitter, you know that last weekend my Mom and I made a trip to Sylvania (suburb of Toledo) to visit my aunt (hi, Cha-Cha!). One of the featured ‘must-dos’ on our trip was one of my aunt’s favorite ice cream shops, Mr. Freeze. Mr. Freeze is a local mom and pop shop with two locations in the Sylvania-area. The shop serves soft-serve deliciousness and also offers no- fat, low sugar yogurt.

 Their featured flavors were vanilla, grasshopper and Snickers. I’ll give you one guess at what I got.

Snickers in a cup!

HEAVEN! This was the creamiest non-fat yogurt I have EVER had. Non-fat frozen yogurt often has the tendency to be a bit grainy, don’t you think? Not the case here! This stuff tasted just like the full-fat varieties (I’m trusting Mr. Freeze that it wasn’t! — remember that episode of Seinfeld?!).

This treat really summed up our whole trip short (because I ate it so fast!) and sweet I had a great time catching up and LAUGHING with my aunt, who I really wish I got to see more often. Now that I know that my new boyfriend, Mr. Freeze is waiting, I might have to get my butt down there more often!

   That place looks like a fantastic find!! Snickers?! YUM!!

   There’s a local place by me that makes Flurries (think DQ blizzards) in all of these fun flavors and two that they’re promoting now are apple crisp and pumpkin pie – tis the season
