Just the other day (which by the way, is a Wednesday — yay Dane Cook!) I overheard some of my colleagues talking about a volleyball game. Intrigued, I asked a few questions and determined that they had their own team in a co-ed volleyball league. (Note: my klutziness is known very well around the office – so much in fact that when someone falls you hear someone else say, “Shannon?” Needless to say, I was not asked to be part of the team.)
It got me thinking, how many other leagues are out there? With Fall just around the corner, I think it would be great if the Mister and I could get into a flag-football league (provided they’ll take me — that’s a sport I’m actually good at! My high school team won the finals!).
I did a bit of research and found quite a bit of co-ed leagues in Cleveland by doing a simple search in Google.
I think this might be a little fall activity for me in the Mister to partake in, what do you think? The only issue I have is that I HATE COMMITMENTS. I hate feeling like I HAVE to do something and that certain days are off limits for spontaneous plans. At the same time, I think it’s a great opportunity to bond, make new friends and get some great exercise.

i LOVE this idea! so a great way for you two to spend time together — and as far as the commitment thing.. have you checked in to how often the teams meet and how legit they are? i know some co-ed leagues we have in my town are just really chill and more like “pick up” games.
I play on a volleyball team every winter/spring, and it’s SUCH a joy. I look forward to it every week. All the girls do. We bond, we laugh, we win, we lose…it doesn’t matter. We just have FUN. Do it!
