The Daily Balance

I hate using the blog as a platform for selling anything, etc., but I wanted to let you all know that I have registered for the Race for the Cure here in Cleveland. The race is September 12.

Some facts:

• Approximately 182,800 new cases of invasive breast cancer were diagnosed in 2000.
• Approximately 42,200deaths occured in women from breast cancer in 2000.
• One in eight women or 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
• Breast cancer risk increases with age and every woman is at risk.
• Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.

   GOOD FOR YOU! Breast Cancer has effected the lives of several great women around me. I admire your tenacity for the cause.

   Don’t know if this is an option, and it may be sort of trite but considering your love of cooking and your healthy baking powers, why not have a bake for the cure bakesale to raise some money? just a thought.
