Daily Delish – Stepping outside the (ice) box…

Try It

OK, ok, – I’ll admit it, even though I used to rag on the good from the freezer aisle,  after my two fantastic frozen meal experiences (thank you, Amy!), I’ve been a lot more acccepting to freezer fare.

I mean, I already was in love with Kashi’s GoLean and Heart to Heart Waffles, but other than ice cream, that is where I drew the line with freezer food. I mean, can you blame me for being a bit leery after my terrible experience with Kid Cuisine? I swear, I still have nightmares featuring that dreaded penguin!

Anyway, I’m proud to say that I’ve been branching out lately. After seeing some palatable looking freezer goods on some other blogs, I bit the bullet and purchased….

Frozen Food For Life 7 Sprouted Grains Bread

Pros:

Cons:

Yep, this is a new staple, for sure! I made sure this was one of the first things I safely transferred to my friends’ freezer when the power went out!

I love using this bread in my breakfast sandwiches, spread with peanut butter and banana, toasted with butter served alongside soup and with anything else that requires bready goodness! I’m so happy that you all inspired me to ‘step outside the (freezer) box’ and try something new!

have you tried Ezekiels Cinnamon Raisin english muffins?? They are my favorite!!! Beyond yummy with some almond butter :)

Also, I love the deep chocolate vitamuffins! So good! :)

Other than that, I use my freezer for tons of frozen veggies and fruits… along with keeping some leftovers in it for times I have nothing else!

  4. frozen ravioli is an amazing thing to keep on hand… especially when you can find a good deal on some whole wheat stuff. That tossed with veggies is an easy dinner, and yummy too!
