Need a light dinner or a tasty snack? Make a pizza! That’s right, PIZZA!
First grill up some protein… Chicken, Shrimp, Tofu — anything will work!
Next select a low calorie, high fiber flat bread such as flat out wraps.
Top with marinara sauce, cheese (I used fresh mozzarella- can’t beat it!) and fresh veggies (I used mushrooms and red peppers). Add your grilled protein and season liberally with red pepper flakes and your other favorite spices!

So the Mister is kind of obsessed with ‘deals.’ Specifically online deals. Hey, I’m not complaining, because last week he forwarded me a deal on Think Organic bars (from Amazon.com) with a note stating that he took the liberty of purchasing two boxes! While I was thrilled with his sweetness and generosity, I have to admit I was a bit worried. We hadn’t even tried these bars before! What if they were horrible?! I’d be stuck with having to pretend that 30 putrid bars were palatable! (hey, I don’t ever want to hurt the Mister’s feelings!).
From the Think Organic Web site:
Our think Organic bars are made with the highest quality organic ingredients that are simple, pure and delicious. We believe pure whole foods are potent-they build strength, energy and beauty, invigorate and delight. Our belief inspired the creation of the think Organic bar. I bolded the items that resonated with me.
After watching Food, Inc. I think we are all, more than ever, looking for more opportunities to embrace organic foods and practices.
Well this is all fine and dandy, Shannon, but how did they taste?!
Lucky for the Mister me, these bars were DELICIOUS! We both LOVE them and wish we would have purchased even more!
First up for evaluation was the chocolate coconut. This bar reminded me of the chocolate coconut LARA BAR, which makes a lot of sense since the ingredients are so similar. However, this bar was a bit smaller so it was a lot lower in calories, making it a better light snack option for me. I loved that the bar had whole almonds throughout — it added that crunch that I love!

Think Organic Chocolate Coconut
INGREDIENTS
Organic dates, organic cashews, organic unsweetened coconut, organic cocoa (alkalized), organic unsweetened chocolate, pectin, organic almonds.
I loved the cherry nut because it contained chunks of dried cherries, which added a sweetness to the nutty base, without over powering the bar. One of the problems I have with the Cherry Pie LARABAR is that the tart cherry flavor is so overpowering! I know that some people enjoy that intense, fruity flavor, but it isn’t for me. This bar incorporates fruit in a more understated way, making my taste buds quite happy

Think Organic Cherry Nut
INGREDIENTS
Organic Dates, Organic Cherries, Organic Cashews, Organic Apricots, Organic Walnuts.
I go back and forth with which of the two bars are my favorite flavor because they were both so delicious!
Have you tried think Organic bars? AND Do you take advantage of online deals? What is one of the best food products you’ve purchased online?
So I may have mentioned my obsession with Pasquale’s Garlic twist rolls once or twice before. Do I need to hit you over the head with it people?! I LOVE THIS STUFF!
Of course while the Mister and I were in the beautiful and picturesque Westerville, Ohio this weekend, we stopped in for dinner. We NEVER go to Columbus without stopping at Pasquale’s. EVER. In fact, I’ve craved the stuff so badly that I came THIS CLOSE to convincing the Mister to drive down there (2 hours) JUST to go to Pasquale’s…(he didn’t budge).
But this weekend, AHHHH, I was able to reunite with my sweet mistress…

Pasquale's Garlic Twist Rolls

Doughy goodness

Close up on doughy goodness
I’m honestly salivating at the very THOUGHT of these rolls! I’m immediately regretting not having them freeze me three dozen to take home (I’ve done this before — like I said, I’m obsessed!) They are deliciously doughy and perfectly seasoned with garlic and salt. The twists come with mouthwatering sauce, too. The rolls are not the same without this sauce! While still quite delicious, these rolls really are ten times better with the homemade sauce. If you are ever in Columbus, promise me you will pay a visit to Pasquale’s. Your (and my! – since I’ll be living vicariously though you) taste buds will thank you.
OK now it’s your turn, which of your favorite dishes would you drive two hours (note: I want to go on the record saying I would trek around the WORLD for these doughy delights!) to enjoy?
