Daily Delish – Melange

Daily Delish

As I mentioned previously, the Mister and I went out on the town this weekend and went to one of my favorite restaurants, Melange, before heading to the Broadway touring musical, Mary Poppins.

Melange is described as modern, American cuisine in a casual, contemporary atmosphere. I love the lighting in this restaurant, super intimate and romantic ;) (but you can’t really tell from my photo)

The Mister and I each started with a bowl of soup – I ordered the watermelon gazpacho, which was just like traditional gazpacho, but with fresh watermelon chunks stirred it. It was topped with avocado foam – simply delicious! I’ve certainly been having a wide assortment of savory watermelon dishes!

I followed this up with a flavorful mozzarella and tomato salad, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and syrupy balsamic.

For our entree, the Mister and I ordered goat cheese fondue, which was served with fresh bread and fruit.

Of course we couldn’t pass on dessert! We convinced ourselves we were still celebrating our anniversary ;)

We ordered the Candy Bar, which was described as a pretzel and caramel cookie wafer, topped with a THICK layer of chocolate mousse and garnished with chocolate covered pretzels and salted peanuts.

There. are. no. words.

I’ve already informed my family that they’ll be taking me back here for my birthday so that I can enjoy the best dessert ever. I’m already looking forward to it ;) (Note: My Birthday is still 3 months away)
