Thankful Thursday – For my Mister…my everything.

So I’ve been going back and forth on whether to post about this week’s ‘Thankful Thursday’ topic this week or next week. See, the Mister and I celebrate our anniversary (Three years!) on the 14th and I wanted to dedicate a post to him. Instead of waiting until our anniversary is OVER, I figured today would be the better option. Don’t worry, I’ll still have a special post (with pictures!) on our actual anniversary

But today, I’m thankful for my Mister, my husband, my best friend.
Thank you….
- For loving all of me…for not only excepting my flaws and idiosyncrasies, but loving me more because of them
- For letting me eat all the ‘red candies’ at the movies (i.e. sour patch kids, juji fruits, dots, etc.)
- For mastering ‘the look’ — you know, the one that immediately reassures me that everything is OK (and still makes me melt)
- For knowing exactly what to say
- For having the perfect ‘spot’ – the one between your neck, chest a shoulder, where you let me lay my head every night — even if it’s not the most comfortable for YOU
- For being proud of me
- For putting up with my antics
- For making me a better person
- For going on adventures with me
- For always giving me the “silvies” (spare change)
- For understanding that I still believe in Santa
- For listening to me vent, even if you don’t care what “Laurie” did on Friday at work
- For resembling Edward Cullen (joke! — or is it?!)
- For putting up with my crazy ideas
- For taking care of most of the “grown up stuff” and being the responsible one
- For letting me put on the air conditioning or heat in the car (when you are always feeling the opposite)
- For understanding the value of retail therapy
- For knowing what I’m trying to say when I can’t get the words out
- For always letting me have the first (and last) bite of a shared dessert
- For suggesting ways to solve a problem and then not getting upset when I snap, “But that would never work!”
- For making sure all my technology is ‘updated’ and at its best
- For telling me I’m beautiful
- For listening to that song, just one more time
- For looking forward to fatherhood
- For loving me
- For choosing me
- For just… being
I could go on and on but I’ll stop before all of you decide to track the Mister down and steal him!
Mister, my soul mate, my best friend, I love you so much and am so thankful that we found each other at such a young age. I look forward to everything this crazy life has to offer, and I’m so happy you’re the one I get to take the ride with. I am the luckiest. THANK YOU.
