Good morning, everyone!
I’m still smiling this morning. Last night the Mister and I went to go see Jack’s Mannequin and The Fray. Something about summer concerts and signing along with your favorite bands just does it for me. No fancy explanations or drawn out posts today. Quite simply, Summer concerts are one of the best ways to spend an evening. (Still smiling over here, by the way…)
This summer, the Mister and I have seen or are planning to see:
- Coldplay
- Fall Out Boy
- Jason Mraz
- The Fray/ Jack’s Mannequin
- The Killers
- Keane
- Ben Folds
- Weezer/ Taking Back Sunday/ Blink 182
This week, I’m thankful for summer concerts. I can’t imagine not having all the amazing memories they bring me each summer.

Ahh – you and I totally have the same taste in music! I saw TBS last week, Killers a month ago but I am most looking forward to Ben Folds and the Boston Pops in October.

I am really looking forward to Nickelback/Papa Roach/Hinder/Saving Abel. I’ve had the tickets for months!
The best oen I have been to recently was Jonathan Coulton. He was hilarious in person and so talented. What I am most looking forward to is seeing John Legend in August. He;s so talented as well and I know I will have a great time.

I saw Fall Out Boy in April. They were okay…I did enjoy All Time Low and 50 Cent who also played with them though. I was a bit let down by FOB, which surprised me.
Best concert of all time….I just sat here thinking about that and I can’t come up with a best. I love a lot of different one’s for different reasons. One that stands out the most was probably the Black Eyed Peas. This was back in 2004 for the Elephunk Tour. They weren’t quite huge yet and the place was maybe 25% full. At most 300 people. It was incredible.
The 2 concerts that probably meant the most to me were seeing Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Mainly because of who they are more than they put on a great show.
Happiness Awaits
We tend to go the festival route. Coachella this year was awesome; Bumbershoot in Seattle last year was great, too! But the concerts coming up that we’re going to are Death Cab for Cutie and The Decembrists – both are really good live and perfect summer concerts!

I LOVE The Fray! I don’t have specific concerts planned, but will no doubt be attending lots at The Edinburgh Festival in August!
Next week is Folk Fest: 4 days of camping and listening to AWESOME music. I’m super excited

Best concert – The Boss. Hands down. I have never seen any other 62-year-old move like Bruce Springsteen. Swooooonfest.
Ahh you guys have THE BEST concert schedule!! Best one I’ve been to – no lies, Nsync and it’s because they put on PRODUCTIONS. These weren’t just concerts!
