Daily Delish – Yes, I’m a bread head

BUSY afternoon over here, but I wanted to share some fantastic information I came across.

Most of you know about my bread addiction. I don’t hide it. There is no way in heck I would EVER be able to go on a low carb diet — EVER! However, I do always look for the most wholesome breads, with natural and nutritious ingredients.

One of my favorites is the Seeduction bread from Whole Foods. This stuff is AMAZING! I love dipping it in olive oil for a perfect dinner side-dish, or spreading it with PB and banana for a tasty snack!

After doing a bit of research online, I stumbled upon a recipe that claims to recreate the same deliciousness! This was just too exciting not to share. I’ll definitely be trying this Seeduction Bread recipe (click orange link!) at home.

  1. I never met a bread I didn’t like :D

(I choose French bread if I have to play favorites)

I haven’t tried Seeduction bread but it sounds pretty good!

  2. I meant to get some Seeduction Bread when you mentioned it a while ago. It looks and sounds awesome! In fact, my plan is to get some this weekend! Have a great weekend! :)

  3. long time reader/first time commenter!

I love bread- especially hearty wholegrain seeded ones, but also LOVE freshly baked baguettes :) I think I like most bread (except rye with caraway seeds!)

  4. I have a slight bread addiction too. OK a HUGE bread addiction. I don’t discriminate! I love all breads, except rye because I think I am allergic. I really love pumpernickel! I will have to check out that bread next time I go to whole foods!

  5. Umm…this looks amazing! I think I know what I’m having for dinner!

I have never tried the seduction bread, but my favorite type of bread is a toss up between honey wheat or a really grain-y bread.

about a month ago my sister and I tried seduction bread! I LOVEEEE IT!!! and then I was at Wholefoods right when it was about to close a week or so later and I asked for a slice of it to go with my soup. and the guy sliced an entire loaf and said to take it for FREE! I was so siked! please let me know how the recipe comes out!

Yup! Bread – like most wheat products – most certainly is addictive. This is proved by all these posts alone. It’s the opioid peptides in the grains that do it. I live in Germany and have been buying bread directly from some farmers who bake bread once a week with their own grains. It is delicious, but, just for the heck of it, I have actually been carrying out a no-bread experiment on myself: the slight arthritis in my hand bothered me less and I lost a whole kilo (2.2lbs) in five days.

Today’s breads are generally baked much too fast. Sour-dough breads are the healthiest option, or breads which have been made with grains which were soaked and fermented.
